CURRENT JOBS...Updated

The jobs I am currently working are:

1. Test proctor (Approx. $1000 per month)
2. Math Tutor ($160 per month)

I quit the magazine delivering when I got the test proctor job. I couldn't fit them both in my schedule, and the proctor job paid more per hour and didn't add miles to my car. :-)

  1. Can you tell me more about the test procter job?

  2. Jypsi,

Call the local career colleges in your area (i.e. DeVry, ITT Technical Institute, etc.) and ask if they administer the Wonderlic ATB test. ATB stands for Ability to Benefit. The test is given to any prospective student who does not have a GED or high school diploma.

When you find a school that administers the test, let them know you are interested in proctoring for them. They will need to give you a packet with a Manual in it. You study it, take a test, mail it in, and Wonderlic sends you a certificate that you can administer their test.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

Also, if you're looking for something that works into your life, try www.womenforhire.com
They have a wealth of information, including legitimate work from home opportunities, (like answering calls for companies, virtual office assistants, etc.)

  3. Hey, thanks! One last question...is proctoring something I can do anytime? I have a regular 9-5 that I am trying to supplement, so I'd like to find something I could do for a couple of hours a day or even do at work since I have way too much 'free time' in this position.

  4. Most schools have specific times they would like their proctor to come in and administer the tests. However, they are usually evening times, so it could work with you regular work schedule. You do have to do it at their facility, but it only takes at most 2 hours of your time.

If you check out www.womenforhire.com and inquire about legitimate work from home opportunities, they will send you a list of companies like www.alpineaccess.com and others that hire virtual office assistants that answer calls or perform other office type work at their home during scheduled times that work for you. (You wouldn't be able to do this while at your regular job, but maybe in evenings or on weekends?) Anyway, might be worth checking out.
